In late July, tucked away amongst the rolling urban hills of Huebner and Vance Jackson, a celebration took place.
Your Scene In SA team met at the delicious and joyfully named Ajuaa! Mexican Bar & Grill with community members, partners, readers, and friends for an evening full of revelry to mark the release of our summer 2026 issue. Featuring the likeness of none other than SA’s resident alien Victor Wembanyama dunking on the appropriately hoop-like Torch of Friendship — as rendered by City Prints mastermind Tattooed Boy — we just had to share this release directly with the people.
Guests danced to the immaculate tastes of DJ Novasoul (check out his brand new Summer Soirée playlist to hear for yourself), and got to see the dancing of Grupo Folklorico de Bendiciónes. Issues were handed out, trays of apps were absolutely crushed, and amazing prizes were raffled off (thanks again to our partners!).
