Whispered Christmas wishlists, winding lines, and excited chatter gather across stores and holiday events as families get their photos taken with the illustrious Santa Claus. This American tradition allows families to capture warm holiday moments, and it gives children a seat with fantasy, where they can whisper what they want for Christmas and smile proudly at the camera, or comedically cry in the unfamiliar presence of the fluffy, tall man in bright red raiments. Children and families share the joy, and the inclusion of furry friends in this tradition is sure to bring a smile to those who see it.
The bright, artsy Créme Coffee & Social at The Creamery District in downtown San Antonio hosted Paws and Claus on Dec. 8, an opportunity for the community’s pups to get a photo with Santa. At the front of the European-style café, Santa sat patiently while awaiting furry friends to celebrate the Christmastime fun. Dogs of all shapes and sizes, whether shy or barkers, joined Santa with their families to share smiles and spread holiday cheer.
