The San Antonio chapters of Society for Design Administration and the American Institute of Architects coordinated the CANstruction of colossal CanArt® sculptures throughout North Star Mall, utilizing 30,000 cans of food. All canned goods were donated to the San Antonio Food Bank in recognition of the SA Food Bank’s featured Hunger Action Month events, raising awareness and funds for hunger relief.
2026 teams were led by Ford, Powell & Carson; HDR & Joeris; Luna Architecture; RVK Architecture; San Antonio College; Merrick & Co; and the Southwest Research Institute. Now in its 19th year, CANstruction has donated more than 600,000 pounds of food! ■
