Designer Caycee Black’s latest couture collection, “Noir Mirage,” came to the runway at Brick at Blue Star, produced by Saige Thomas and presented by the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative (TFII).

“I love, love, love drama,” Caycee said with a smile. “I’ve always been inspired by dark fairytales. Noir Mirage plays with unexpected details: menswear tailoring for women, romantic silhouettes, and a touch of the surreal.”

Including tailored jackets softened by sheer fabrics and fluid, shimmering gowns, each piece underscored Caycee’s signature balance of strength and softness, art and wearability.

“It’s all about contrast,” she explained. “Light and dark, masculine and feminine, expected and unexpected; that’s where the magic happens.”

Producer Saige Thomas reflected on the moment:

“This show was particularly special to me because out of all the places Caycee could’ve had her show, she chose San Antonio, and she chose us to produce it for her. She also selected the venue, which felt a bit like a homecoming for me, considering Brick is where TXFW all started. It’s an honor to work for Caycee on any production, and she’ll always have a home here in San Antonio, Texas.”

After the show, Black revealed that she’s currently undergoing a rebrand, including refreshed visuals, a new logo, and an expanded online presence. Dividing her time between Brooklyn and Texas, she continues to design custom couture pieces and modern bridalwear, each crafted to reflect the client’s individuality.

“Every client collaboration is a relationship,” she added. “It’s about understanding their dream look and bringing it to life in a way that feels deeply personal.”
