Business Professionals of San Antonio Mixer Raises $3,600 for Any Baby Can

An evening of networking, generosity, and community spirit brought San Antonio professionals together — and gave back to local families in need.
San Antonio’s professional community turned out in style for the latest Business Professionals of San Antonio mixer at the Spurs Center, an evening that combined high-energy networking with heartfelt giving. The event raised $3,600 for Any Baby Can, boosted by generous $500 donations from Nathaniel Mack (Mack Injury Attorney) and Justin Pace (Connected Concierge), whose matched contributions multiplied the evening’s impact.
Founded in 2017 by realtor Tom White, Business Professionals of San Antonio was built on the vision of creating the city’s largest networking group with a purpose — donating 100% of proceeds from each monthly event to a local nonprofit. “It takes an incredible team to make this happen every month,” said President Christopher Matz. “We’re honored to support a different nonprofit each time, and this month it was a privilege to help Any Baby Can keep 100% of the proceeds.”
Vice President Jenevy Sims echoed the group’s mission: “We meet on the second Wednesday of every month, and every event is about connecting local businesses while giving back. Thanks to supporters like our longtime donor who contributes $500 each month, we’re able to make a real difference for these organizations.”
This month’s beneficiary, Any Baby Can, serves families across San Antonio with programs ranging from developmental support to counseling and bereavement services. “Within days of starting, our founder received over 300 calls from families seeking help — that’s how Any Baby Can was born,” shared Chief Impact Officer Chelsea Steele.
Director of Bereavement Desiree Holmes described one of their most meaningful traditions: the Butterfly Memorial, held every year, where about 600 people gather to honor children they’ve lost. “It’s about feeling supported, feeling heard, and knowing there’s hope,” she said.
From its beginnings serving children with disabilities to its current work through programs like the Children’s Bereavement Center, Any Baby Can continues to live out its founder’s legacy of compassion, connection, and community care. The Business Professionals of San Antonio showed that networking isn’t just about exchanging cards — it’s about coming together to make a meaningful difference.
